From relocating to new premises to preparing for the launch of our latest solution, Wizard, and attending key aviation and rail industry events this September, the coming months represent another step forward in how we support our customers and partners.
A New Base for the Future
Over the coming weeks, dBD Communications will be relocating to new premises in Basildon as we prepare for the next stage of our journey.
Like many UK businesses, we’ve reviewed our operational footprint to reflect today’s business environment. Our new premises provide a practical base that allows us to operate efficiently, remain competitive and continue investing in the products, services and support our customers expect.
The move is planned for late August / early September, and throughout the transition it will be very much business as usual. Our team will remain on hand to provide the same technical support, advice and service our customers rely on. Our new address will be:

Introducing Wizard
This autumn also marks the launch of Wizard, dBD Communications’ latest innovation designed to support safer aircraft pushback and towing operations.
Developed with the needs of ground handling teams in mind, Wizard combines the familiar functionality of an illuminated marshalling wand with an integrated wireless emergency alert system. In the event of a developing hazard, wing walkers can instantly alert the tug driver at the press of a button, providing an additional layer of protection when clear and immediate communication is essential.
Designed to integrate seamlessly into existing ground operations, Wizard supports up to four wireless wands connected to a single tug receiver, identifying exactly which team member has raised an alert. With a rugged, self-contained design and up to 24 hours of continuous operation, the system is built to withstand the demands of busy airport environments while remaining simple to deploy and use.
Wizard represents another step in dBD Communications’ commitment to developing practical solutions that enhance operational safety and support the people working closest to the aircraft. ✈️ GSE Expo Europe 2026
From 15-17 September, we’ll be exhibiting at GSE Expo Europe in Lisbon on Stand D21. Recognised as one of the aviation ground support industry’s leading events, the exhibition brings together airports, airlines, ground handlers and equipment suppliers from around the world to explore the latest innovations in ground operations.
Visitors to the dBD Communications stand will have the opportunity to speak with our team about the latest developments across our communications portfolio, including the launch of Wizard, alongside our established range of solutions designed to improve safety, reliability and operational efficiency in demanding airport environments.
🚆 Rail Infrastructure Networking (RIN) Derby
On 17 September, we’ll also be attending Rail Infrastructure Networking (RIN) Derby, bringing together rail infrastructure professionals from across the UK. The event provides an excellent opportunity to discuss the communication challenges facing today’s rail operations, share industry insights and demonstrate how dBD Communications continues to support safe, effective working across the sector.
